Published on May 30, 2017
JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. Their mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications, including blindness, kidney failure, heart disease or stroke. Their staff and volunteers work tirelessly to tell their story, teach others about the disease, support affected individuals and families, and advocate to bring new medicine and devices to market – and ensure they are affordable.
