Katherine is a lifelong resident of Chicago and has lived in the 10th Judicial Subcircuit since 1978. She currently resides in the 41st Ward, was raised in the 39th Ward and attended Queen of All Saints grammar school. She graduated from Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University and obtained her Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School.
Katherine began her career at The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Real Estate Tax Department of the Civil Division. She defended real estate tax protest cases for the Cook County Treasurer’s Office, the Cook County Clerk’s Office, the Cook County Board of Review and the Cook County Assessor’s Office including Specific Objection lawsuits, Property Tax Appeal Board cases, Indemnity lawsuits as well as tax sale and tax deed matters.
Katherine lives with her husband, Jay, and their son, Jason, age 6, in the 41st Ward. Her son attends Immaculate Conception grammar school.
