City Bureau's Public Newsroom: Growing a Grassroots Project

In early June, following city-wide actions spurred by the police killing of George Floyd, Chicago Public Schools announced that they would pause their meal distribution network. In response, a number of people-powered efforts, like the ones above, sprouted across Chicago to provide food and other supplies. How did our guests sustain their efforts?
