Breaking youth stereotypes: Real Chi Youth

In North Lawndale, a predominantly African-American
community on Chicago’s West Side, a group of youth media
makers use multimedia reporting to investigate and humanize
issues that impact Chicago’s youth.

Real Chi Youth is a program of Free Spirit Media, which provides education, access and opportunity in media production to more than 500 underserved urban youth each year throughout Chicago.
