Ken Davis is joined by Mike Holzer of North Branch Works. They discuss the future of the Planned Manufacturing District on the North side between Clybourn and Elston avenues, where several large plants have left and there’s pressure to redevelop the zone for residential and commercial projects. Chicago needs to redefine “industrial” to include modern manufacturing, he says, in order to keep the PMD and encourage jobs in the area.
